Meater Plus works well

I bought the Meater Plus Wireless Thermometer. It connected easily. The app is simple. My cooks have been more consistent since getting it. No issues.

Great value on accessories

This was my first purchase from Traeger, mostly because I heard good things and saw they had a bundle deal. I picked up the Signature Blend Pellets, a Drip Tray Liner pack, and a new Grill Brush. The free shipping on pellets was a big plus, and the accessory discount made it feel like I got a good deal. Everything arrived in about 4 days, which was faster than I expected. The pellets smoke nicely, and the liners fit my Pro 575 perfectly. Felt worth the money for sure.

Good grill, slow delivery

I ordered the Ironwood 650 during a holiday sale. The grill itself is really solid; it holds temperature well and the Wi-Fi feature with the app is super convenient for monitoring smokes. Assembly wasn't too bad, took about an hour by myself. My only real gripe was the shipping time. It said 5-7 business days, but it actually took 10 days to reach my house in upstate New York, which was a bit frustrating as I had plans for it that weekend. Customer service was polite when I called, but couldn't really speed anything up. Overall, happy with the product for the price I paid, just plan for potential shipping delays.

Consistent quality, as usual

Another solid order from Traeger. I've bought several grills and accessories from them over the years. This time I needed more Hickory Pellets and decided to try a new Traeger Rub. The delivery was quick, like always, arriving in about 3 days. The pellets were fresh and the rub added great flavor to my ribs last night. It's why I keep coming back; the quality is always there and I know what to expect.

Thinking of pulling the trigger on a Timberline. Are they really that much better than a Pit Boss? Worth the extra cash?

F Faith 2 months ago
I've had both. Traeger feels more solid, better temp control, and the app is slick. Pit Boss is good for the price but Traeger is definitely a step up in build quality and features.

Depends on your budget. Traeger definitely has better tech and consistency. If you want a set-it-and-forget-it premium experience, Traeger is worth it. Pit Boss is a solid budget option though.

Hey, anyone know how long shipping usually takes to California? Thinking of ordering a Pro 575 soon.

R Rosa 2 months ago
For a grill? Probably a week or two. Mine took about 8 days to get to SoCal after I ordered it.

Pellets ship fast, like 3-5 days for me to SF, but a whole grill takes longer for sure. They use freight probably.

Does anyone know if I can use my military discount AND get whatever sale price they might have going on for a grill?

S Sam Romero 2 months ago
Nah, usually it's one or the other. Most companies won't let you stack discounts like that, especially for a big ticket item.

I tried that once with a different product, didn't work. Military discount usually applies to full price stuff, or you get the sale price. Rarely both together afaik.

Is there usually a Father's Day sale or anything coming up for these? Don't want to buy now if it's gonna be cheaper next month.

M Megan Bennett 1 month ago
Oh for sure! They almost always have something for Father's Day, usually a few hundred off certain models. Wait for it.

Yeah, they do sales for all the major holidays. Probably $100-$300 off an Ironwood or Pro model. No codes though, it's just instant pricing.

Thinking about getting an Ironwood, but which one? What's the real difference between the 650 and 885?

J Jared 2 months ago
The number is basically the cooking area in square inches, so 885 is just bigger. If you're feeding a big family or do parties, go 885. Otherwise 650 is plenty.

How do returns work if I get one and it's not what I expected? Can you even return it after you've used it a bit?

T Troy Marsh 2 months ago
I returned a part once, it was pretty straightforward, just follow the instructions on their site. As for a whole grill after using it, I'm not entirely sure, that might be trickier.

I returned a smaller accessory after using it and it was fine. For a grill, I'd probably check their official policy or call them, but I think if there's an issue they're pretty good about it.
